An establishment that grows, propagates, multiplies, and sells seedlings, saplings, and other planting materials for planting is known as a plant nursery.

Why is a Plant Nursery Important

Home nurseries are often locations where plants are cultivated and nurtured only to meet the requirements of gardeners.

Establish a commercial nursery

Nurseries are larger and feature a greater choice of plants. The primary concern of these nurseries is financial gain.

Plant nurseries can also be classified according to the length of time they are used.

A Temporary Plant Nursery

Seeds are sown in a protected location in a temporary nursery, and when they germinate, the saplings are transported to the main field. Seed nurseries are another name for these facilities. These nurseries are built in close proximity to the main planting area. This nursery is deconstructed when the planting procedure in the main field is completed.

Because these nurseries are just temporary, they lack permanent infrastructure such as an office, fixed irrigation systems, and fences.

A nursery that is always open

These nurseries are built to last and are designed for large-scale operations. These nurseries are designed to offer long-term supply of seedlings. As a result, many nurseries have permanent buildings such as irrigation systems, fences, offices, packing areas, composting areas, and pot yards, among other things.
